God will help you

by admin on Mar.06, 2010, under Your Praises

God is with you, God will help you. God will NEVER fail us.

Most of the time, we feel that God is not with us. Why? Because we hope to have an immediate solution to our issues. We want to be able to run away from the pain. We want to be able to get out of our bankruptcy fast. We want to be able to enjoy wealth and fame, immediately.

Yet, it is important to know that God answers us in 3 ways – Yes, No and WAIT. And WAIT is usually the most frequent answer. While it is human nature to be impatient, it is important for us to recognise that while waiting, we should spend the wait time to speak to God more, to read more of His word. Such will ensure we will be able to realise the path God had set for us and the rational for the decision we are making.

To start off, i will like to share with you a verse:

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. – 1 Corinthians 13:8 (continue reading…)

Ever tried to help someone which you are undergoing tremendous stress or getting through an extremely busy period?

Ever tried to help someone which you are undergoing tremendous stress or getting through an extremely busy period?

It is truely not easy to extend a helping hand whenever you are tied up. One beacon of light which we can always look upon for such situations is to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. How does it feel to know that you are going to be crucified and to put it bluntly, die a horrible painful death? How does it feel to preach to save lives, yet get persecuted for it? And how does it feel to know that you will be betrayed by the very one you love or be denied?

The Holy Spirit in us, works wonder. We are beaten up but never the Holy Spirit within us. If there is any work of comfort, look towards this:

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. (KJV)

Glorify God in your work

by admin on Nov.09, 2009, under Your Praises

By the sheer virtue that you are known as a Christian, you are actually a walking testimony for God. People look at you, people judge you and people then measure how Christians behave.

While it is natural for people to have some perception about Christianity, it is important to note that we can basically change people’s opinion, for good, towards Christianity.

And the best place to do this is in your work and school. In work, you should do your utmost best and know that you are really a testimony for God. People who may not know God will look at you and wonder why you are so active, cheerful, happy and positive. And they will soon realise that it is because you have God! Indeed! I’ve got the joy joy joy joy down in my heart!

So, treat your work as an opportunity to serve God! Now, get going to work..
